AIS Signs at Water Accesses

Due to the high demand for “Help Stop Aquatic Hitchhikers!” signs for use at water accesses, the Minnesota DNR has recently updated our sign program (previously known as “Grants for DNR Signs at Water Accesses”). Organizations now have two options to obtain these signs:
1. You can request a small number from the DNR or

2. You can download the sign artwork files and have larger quantities of signs printed on your own.

Go to the new “Aquatic Invasive Species Signs at Water Accesses” page to find out more: http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/invasives/ais/prevention/ais_signs.html

Help Stop Aquatic Hitchhikers! signs at water accesses are a key public awareness strategy to help prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species (AIS). These signs contain regulatory language that is consistent statewide, which allows for easier enforcement of AIS laws. For your reference, the DNR also created an Aquatic Invasive Species Sign Manual for sign installation guidelines.
